Marketplace Survey

  • In 2025, we are looking to potentially create a Makers Market environment that would be more of a permanent staple in the center, operating 6 to 7 days a week. We have found that only hosting the event eight times a year, has been a success but so many have expressed that they want more! We have been so fortunate with all the support of our small business partners and community! Creating such a fun event with so much talent and uniqueness has really helped keep Rockvale engaged with the community!
With that being said, we want your feedback to see if we can make this dream a reality.
    • The Makers Market space would become a vendor marketplace, hosting over one hundred of the most talented and unique artists, makers, and curators in the Central Pa area.
    • The space would be fully managed and operated by a business, so there would be no need to staff your booth or space. Every business would have their own barcodes, and customers would checkout at one cash register area.
    • Vendors would be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, inventory, display of their space on a weekly-biweekly basis depending on the trends in the business for the time of year. Ex: you may find yourself stocking less in January & February and more during tourist, fall and holiday season.
    • Vendors would pay a base rent monthly, with a 10% commission of sales as well.
    • Spaces and pricing have not been determined and will be discussed when this becomes a reality, and you are accepted.
    • Vendors will sign a minimum 1-year lease agreement, will options to renew for a longer period time.
    • If this becomes a reality, we would be looking to have the space open to customers by the beginning of May to ensure we capture the tourist season!
Benefits to being a part of The Shops @ Rockvale’s future and Marketplace:
    • Vehicle Traffic on Lincoln Highway is over 40,000 per day
    • Luxury Residential Community underway with 480 units
    • Be part of the #1 Gift & Souvenir shop in Lancaster County
    • Increased traffic to storefront from local theatres, tourist attractions, events and more.
    • Get your products into the hands and homes of a wider demographic area, with visitors from all over the East Coast
    • Grow your business in a seamless and easy to manage way
Thank you for your interest and input in this concept that we are eager to make a reality this Spring. Please fill out the information below if you have interest in becoming a vendor and learning more! We are still in the very preliminary process of this, but we need your feedback and to gauge interest in the Marketplace, to see if we can make this a reality.
Items for sale must be quality handmade, unique, and modern, and a professional business must be maintained. It is also important that you have a well-maintained social media page that we can share when previewing Makers to the community.
