How Long Have You Lived in Lancaster?

I actually grew up in this area, but moved away for a while once I graduated from high school so I could attend university and travel the world! Not long after my son was born, I moved back so that we could be close to family and I’ve been here ever since.

What Do You Do For Work?

I run my online business and blog, Being Summer Shores. In addition to being a business owner, I’m also a young mom to my son Aimery. A few years ago, I was looking for a sense of community while going through the journey of motherhood. Through Instagram, I was connected with women who empowered me to create content, encourage other women, and start my own blog. I found a passion for writing about topics such as healthy living, parenting, and family travel.

That has now transitioned into starting my own Digital Marketing Agency, Being Agency! My agency allows me to help other women with their businesses through virtual assistance so that they can cross off items on that never-ending to-do list and focus on spending more time with their families or being creative! Some of our most popular services are pitching assistance, Instagram management, and Pinterest planning! I love being able to run my business from home while still putting my family first, and I love that I can give that to other women by helping them behind the scenes.

Keeping a healthy balance between work and life is harder than it seems sometimes. Working for myself means that my 9-5 is more like a 24/7. With that being said, I try to power down for times that I spend with Aimery and stick to working while he’s at school and after he goes to bed.

One thing I’ve learned through it all is to never be ashamed of asking for help. As my business grew, so did my team and I’m so thankful to have such an amazing group of boss babes behind me. My business has come so far in the last couple of years, and I can’t wait to see how it progresses in the future!

Questions for the Holidays:

What is your favorite dish to share for the holidays?

The holiday season is my favorite time of the year, so I’m pretty sure we started celebrating the day after Halloween. 😂it’s become a tradition in our family as well as holiday baking! My favorite dish we’ve made so far is Cranberry Orange Shortbread Cookies and actually share the recipe on my blog as well!

Do you have any special family traditions?

In addition to baking and decorating, our family loves to have holiday movie nights together! In the craziness of the day today, it’s so relaxing to sit down at night and bundle up to a good movie. Now that Aimery is older, my husband and I have started showing him the classic holiday films that we used to watch growing up!

What do you love most about living in Lancaster?

I love the fact that in Lancaster you can visit downtown and be immersed in the culture of the city, then drive around 20 minutes and be in the middle of rolling farmland and Amish Country!

Why do you love The Shops @Rockvale?

I love having big-name stores right here in Lancaster, making it easy to shop my favorite stores at a great price!

What do you love to do for fun in Lancaster?

I love the emerging restaurant scene in Lancaster as it continues to grow and thrive! There are so many local coffee shops to get work done, cute cafes for photos, and rooftop bars for a night out! No matter the occasion, there is no shortage of great spots to fit your needs!

What Is Your Favorite Experience At The Shops @Rockvale?

Our favorite Rockvale experience, we love shopping at Rockvale during the holiday season to pick up everything we need for everyone on our list. Our family always makes a day out of it, and we have so much fun together every year!

What is your favorite Instagram filter and why?

My favorite Instagram filter has to be Paris for stories. For Instagram photos, I have created my own presets! We are looking to launch the Being Preset by the end of the year, so look out for that!
