Why We Love Pennsylvania?

We at Shop Rockvale have a great sense of pride in serving the great people of Pennsylvania. Anyone who lives in the state knows just how great it is, but for the people who don’t know, here are the multiple reasons why we love Pennsylvania.

1. The people

When you walk through the streets in Pennsylvania, you will see a variety of different people. They will come from all different walks of life and races. Most of them will have a big smile when you approach them. It’s different than the larger cities where people have a tendency to be rude and snotty.

You will be able to talk and even joke with the people you see out in public. The more you talk to the people, the more you realize how welcoming they are.

2. Food

When you travel to a city, you have to try the popular local cuisine. Luckily, you won’t be disappointed when you try to food in Pennsylvania. The state is known for Philly cheesesteaks. It’s chopped steak in a hoagie bun with melted cheese as well as peppers and onions. It’s not going to help your waistline, but it will certainly help your taste buds. There are plenty of other local treats, too. In fact, the Hershey company was born in Pennsylvania. It would be wrong not to get some chocolate from where it all began.

3. Sports

Sports lovers everywhere, no matter what team they root for, have to respect the strong Philadelphia fan base for their teams as well as the talent of many of the teams. The first baseball field in the country was built in Pittsburgh. They are also home to the champion football team the Eagles as well as the Steelers, Flyers, and 76ers. While different cities may support different teams, there’s plenty of passion.

4. It’s close to New York

It’s close enough to New York for you and your family to take a train to the city for a day of sight-seeing and culture. However, it’s far enough away where you don’t have to worry about the violence and, even worse, the traffic.

Pennsylvania is also close to other important places, such as Washington D.C. and Boston. You can take your children to the capital and teach them about politics and the history of the country. However, you don’t need to go very to do that.

5. A lot of American history

Pennsylvania was one of the original 13 colonies. There’s so much history in the state that can help encourage patriotism for generations. All you have to do is go see the Liberty Bell. You can even go to the same place where the Declaration of Independence was created. Philadelphia was considered the first capital of the country.
